SKS Insane prices

To made today a SKS ,will retail for around 1000$

id pay $1k for new in box 7.62x39 Semi that is proven reliable with lots of parts available

with the dents and scrapes from 50 years id expect a good discount so $500-$600 seems almost reasonable.

Im glad i got a few at the $200 range, its so sad that i lost them all in that boating accident though :(

Please do better than so many of the adverts I've seen so far. The ones that claim the rifle has been refurbished, but never been fired make me chuckle

i spent yesterday taking pictures of all the pieces - i've put 20 rounds through it after a couple of months of owning it to see if it functions as it should and it did - and then put it away. As for a 70 year old rifle I can bet with a high level of certainly that it was shot before I got it - any hoot - will ask for an email address in my EE post so I can forward the folder with the pictures.

The EE is useless to buy at times - especially when you can buy a SKS cheaper from a dealer. 10 years ago most items were inc. shipping, now everything is plus shipping because CP has an insane price structure. Oversized rate, $12 at the counter and $20 for small business customers,

You should try a Gun show ;)

And it isn't laissez-faire, exactly. The gouging is happening directly because of govt intervention affecting supply and demand curves. If it were true laissez-faire they would be much cheaper.

I disagree. If it were true laissez-faire they would be more expensive as they would be importable in to the U.S. market and there would be far less left for us up here. We were just spoiled by a decade of cheap Russian SKS's as a result of being one of the few western countries with liberal enough gun law to allow their easy importation and distribution.

I wouldn't sell my numbers matching 54 Tula with the IZH 2008 style small pin welded follower for a penny under $1000. The SKS is starting to show their true value.

Would i put my 2 Izzy 1953 /1954 non refurb ( All matching and cartouches are untouched ). On the market, pretty sure 1K each is the bare minimum.
