SKS internal magazine to ak mag conversion

Just wondering if there is a kit out there for SKS's that have the basic internal magazines so that they may be swapped out and changed to accept detachable ak mags. Any input would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has done this did it work well.

Requires removal of the bolt hold open and much machining on the receiver and modification of the bolt. Not worth it in my opinion, better off buying a SKS-D made from the factory to take AK mags. I have an early conversion done by a company in the states and I must say I prefer the SKS-D's over the conversion.

If you want AK mags buy a SKS D .
Trying to convert a standard SKS to accept AK mags while technically possible.
Trying to do so is kind of like your your CGN user name

Try this sold quite a few of those in the past two weeks. No conversion needed just replace the stocked one to this one. Look of AK47 mag and it is metal too.

No complaint from anyone who bought one from me.

Yes I love my name, and I do like the look of the stamped sheet metal mags but I think the tapco mags would probably be pretty good since they are made of comp. I just thought the mags would be allot more accessible and cheaper.
