SKS Jam... Help

It sounds like the whole weight of the bolt isn't bearing down on the round, and leaving a space in the chamber. Same thing happened on my sks with the poorly seated barrel. My guess is the bolt flies back cockeyed and sticks slightly sideways. I had to beat on the bolt once in awhile.

Was that pinned or threaded?and how can you tell if the barrel not seated right?
It was a pinned 040, or whatever the nasty bunch were from Lever. I flogged this to death on two sites. I tried the Survivor link but it's dead now. So these are two shots of the op rod housing and rear sight base. The barrel is out about the same distance as the op rod is from the bolt face. The spring is visible in the gap. Bad . This area should be tight against each other. The housing and sight base are mounted to the barrel. The barrel should be farther into the chamber and the gap at the op rod area would not be present if it was. Sorry to all the old hands out there that have already seen this topic
