SKS-KD with wood stock and metal AK magazine pre oreder

I can test it but not on this gun, if you are connected to producers , tell them to send me email.
This gun has mag release on it already.

I'm not at all affiliated with sevensixtwo systems, live just seen their products, and would be interested in this rifle if that type of mag release could be utilized.

These are well done conversions and work really well with the IMI mags(nicest poly mags I have ever seen) the only issue I have had is I have 12 or so various AK mags and a drum. For some reason the variations in the size and length of the feed lips and or rear tang varies considerably among the different manufactures. So out of 12 metal mags only about 4 or so work and the others would require some fitting/grinding. The mag release works as any typical SKS as really it has just been extended. Same as an M model rather than a D model.

All in all and awesome up grade. Add a Kodiak or mag wedge top rail and add any scope you like.

So, would you guys be willing to test out the sevensixtwo systems mag release when you get mags

If you know of anyone in the Ottawa Valley area that has the sks-kd, I have a sevensixtwo systems mag release, we can meet up somewhere sometime and do a collaboration and see if the mag release works ^.^ super interested in know that myself

Well, got my hands on an SKS-KD, (Love this rifle) and was finally able to see if the sevensixtwo mag release fits and would possibly hold the magazine in place. Ran into a few snags though.

Here's the trigger group as it comes out of the rifle

Now, the biggest problem that I found is that it looks to have a modified or custom spring. The ends micd at approximately 5.89mm and 5.63mm. The hole in the mag release micd at 5.23mm or 5.32mm I can't remember. Will show it in the pics to follow but the spring looks a little out of shape, leading to the messed up numbers. Might see if I can find another spring to replace it with and see if that works.

will see if I can find a replacement spring, but in the meantime I shall reinstall the mag release and when I go back home give an update as to whether the mags properly lock in or not ^.^

Hope this helps
