SKS laminate stoc for $229 at Cabelas

If you don't already have one go and buy one (inspection required) aim for best condition and fitting no real collectors at cabelas but matching is nice if you can find one.

If you already have one, have many more do you need? one for the whole family is normal i think
 
Just checked. Most are mismatched and painted. Be aware to what you are getting. They do not want me to go through more than three.

1952... though I heard (but haven't seen myself) later 1951's may also have a chrome lined barrel.

Gents, don't buy mismatched, painted crap, unless its getting strapped on the handlebars of a quad. EE still has many matching (though sometime not mag) blued examples.
 
make sure it doesn't have rocks, rust or sand inside. My experience was bad from cabelas. I prefer to spend little extra and grab one from westrifle personally.
 
I ordered a "super grade" laminate from them, the hand guard was a birch, non-laminated one WTF
And they didn't care much. I'm a multiple, repeat customer, after awhile I got a $25 store credit, but I agree, inspect prior

I have a 51, laminated stock number matches rifle... but the hand guard is solid birch as well (number matches too). Maybe built that way?
 
Well I ordered one last night, just read this thread now. It was $270 all in to my door. I will let you guys know how the finish is and whether or not it was a mistake.
