Hi! My friend has an SKS, and every so often, when you are shooting, a live round gets stuck like a stovepipe, with the bullet pointing up at you. The case gets crushed, and you have to throw the round away. Any idea why this is happening? Thanks!

Do these 3 thing's and post back if you still run into this situation.
- Check recoil spring to ensure that it is in properly.
- Check Op-Rod for a carbon build up or damaged return spring. Same with the extractor.
- Polish the chamber with JB Bore Bright after scrubing it with laquer thinner and a brass chamber brush.
