SKS mag adapter ?'S

Extended mag release is ready to go ... first 50 units at an introductory price of $39.95 and then after they are gone I will bump the price up to $49.95 . I will try to get these on the website today ...

G3 adaptor may take a bit of time as we are still tinkering with the G9. Until we do the actual prototyping and testing I cannot give a definite price, however we plan to price these at a point attractive to the Canadian marketplace.
What prototyping needs to be done I saw on sksmagadapter web page that you guys were going to carry their products? are you simpily just not importing them from the US?

I love my tapco mags just not the big ugly duck bill on the front , and I want to be able to run mag pouches efectivily in tac drills or 3 gun comps. I liked the idea of the xcr adapter but the realease is on the wrong side for me and I dont want to break my grip to change mags. and at 200.00 plus modding my reciever does not appeal to me, I would sooner have more tapco mags and the ability to change them quick.

I looked at the posibility of the extended mag type release with the duckbilless adapter but it was not available in Canada and all the extended releases I still had to break my grip to use and felt cumbersome to me, then I came across the mk1 mag release system from ww w.sevensixtwosystems.com and watched the videos on their site and FB page and it looks good and dosent seem hard to install either and cost seems ok . so Im gonna bite the bullet and try it out in the comming weeks, we will see what happens lol .

Have looked at doing the AK mag mod. Not that hard...you can do it yourself. I think there is a sticky up top, or I have it, in a PDF file if you need it. That would be the way to go, I think, no adapters...nothing to come loose..etc.

Pic's would be nice of the mag adapter and the extended release together

Yes, I will arrange that.

By the way, the mag adaptor has its own release, so an SKS extended mag release is not really necessary when using an adaptor. In the case of using Tapco detachable mags, the extended release would be of benefit, but not when using the AR style mag adaptor.

I will announce the following on my forum as well. We have not been able to make the adaptors ready by our end of July ETA, but I hope they will be finished within 2 or 3 weeks.

I will have some pics of the prototype tomorrow.

A close up pic of the extended mag release mounted on a trigger group. This is an aluminum prototype, so no finish applied yet. Our production units are STEEL with a black nitride finish.

Here is a prototype mounted in a rifle, and with a black nitride finish.

I've commented in a few other spots but the sevensixtwo mag release is great. Easy to install. Quick to install. Works so well and makes mag changes so nice. I had tried a tapco extended mag catch and it didn't cut it. PM me if you have questions about it.

I have a Hi Cal AR mag adapter installed on an SKS. It works good and allows me to use 10 rnd XCR pistol mags. The install requires significant patience and time (for me anyways). Also the price adds up pretty quick when you factor in the cost of the adapter and 4 7.62x39 AR mags.
