Do SKS coming into Canada come with the default 10 round magazine or are they modified to only accept 5 rounds?

Just to avoid confusion, that's semi-auto, centrefire rifle/shotgun mags. A bolt/pump action, etc. Can have a magazine that holds as many rounds as you like.

Cause some dumb ass named Marc Lepine decide to shoot up a college using a Ruger mini 14 with a 30 round magazine, ( more people shot than Columbine)
and because this FU^K offed himself, they couldn't get him so they went after the guns. We got off easy with this one, they wanted to ban semi-auto firearms, but settled for 5 round mags.Just wait, god forbid, for someone to shoot up a school with a handgun, they won't restrict mag capacity to 5, they'll just ban handguns.

Hence, this leads me to the big question. Is gun control going to be more stricter or relaxed in the future? Didn't they want to scrap the gun registry for long guns?

If it works we need more gun control (won't happen); if it doesn't we (still) need more gun control.

"Gun control" means permanantly removing all guns from the people. It's not about safety, it's about social policy.

Gun elimination would be a more honest term.

It may be reversible if you are prepared to commit a criminal offence, manufacturing a prohibited device.
The neatest conversion I have seen involves the magazine follower spring guide. It is replaced with one that restricts movement of the magazine follower. This piece is a permanent part of the magazine assembly. This allows the magazine to be unloaded from the bottom.
Another method is to drill a hole through the inner magazine, insert a pin, and weld its ends. The magazine cannot be swung open if this is done, nor can the magazine be unloaded from the bottom.
I altered a number by welding a plate to the side of the inner magazine box. this would limit the number of cartridges that the magazine could hold, but the magazine could still be swung open, and unloaded from the bottom.
There have also been blocks welded or rivetted to the inside of the outer magazine casing.
