That was, but not a statement about illegally transporting a prohibitive device across the CA/US border, and projecting(couldn't think of a better word) that every SKS owner does it.

No, noone brings in 10rd magazines from US into Canada because they're considered a prohib device. All legal SKS's in Canada have either a 5rd magazine or one that was pinned to 5rds. And to be caught doing such an act, you would receive serious punishment and seizure of the magazine itself. And noone, would ever admit on a public forum to do such illegal acts. And although it may happen, they will only hurt the legit gun owners of Canada in the end.

how to clean an sks mag
1 look at your mag, it is basicly made of 3 parts, the frame, the follower and the floor plate
2 all 3 parts and bond together by a cross pin, removing it will allow you to clean your mag and remove all the factory grease and carbon fouling.
3 beware of the spring, not that it will jump off and you will loose it but is very important to reassemble it as it was when you unscrewed it or you could have issues with some people.
4 put back the cross pin or another one to bond the 3 parts togeter, it must now be too tight or the mag wont work properly, i recomand using the factory one
5 put it back on the gun and enjoy your clean mag, works better than a dirty one. feed cartridges faster
i enjoy cleaning my mags, it allow my rifle to have a clean, neat and break free action
if you have any questions about how to clean a mag, weather, rifle, shotgun tube or any other kind of mag, just ask,
and remember, a clean mag allow your gun to works better and increase it's lifetime

well, we cant talk about illegal stuff here, so, if you need to clean your mag, do so, and if in the process you forget pieces durring reassembly, it isen't my problem, just dont talk about it here.

On a side note, my friend takes the city bus to work and back every day .. one day he got on and some guy was talking on his cell phone REALLY loudly and was what my friend said dealing drugs. He said it was plainfully obvious and the guy probably thought he was being cool?
Well a few stops goes by and then the police get on and have a 'talk' with the guy with the cell phone. Ultimatly the guy ended up being taken away in the back seat of a police car.
Funny story, and I think somewhere in there, there's a moral to boot!
