Had the same problem and had to really Yank to get the Mag out of my Russian.

All you have to do is lock the bolt to the rear and then pop out the trigger group. Once this is done rock it outand your done

Got it!! The pin holdin the floor plate in place was seriously justified to one side so I have a feeling that since it was so racked that's why it was so tough. I must have spent a good 10 minutes just reefing on the thing.
