Majority of firearms accessories needs DSP-5 or other. When we import it the legal way in, big or small quantity we need to pay $250 to $1000 on each shipment extra. Also our brokerage fees are higher because it is "firearms". Also when we negotiate a rate for item we are located in Canada. Once other side hears that rate goes up. When we can not take 1000 of whatever item but only 100 rate goes up.
We are not big and mean firearms dealers we just follow all legal requirements and this is why we sell something that is 9.99 for 29.99
As to what is wrong with shipping items from Paul I will not tell as the big brother might be watching. I am a customs broker and I can tell 3 things that is wrong with it, but I will not tell it here or this will stop all of his shipments to Canada.
