I'd say do what you want, I just recommend keeping the original parts and not doing anything that can't be reversed. Seen too many posts with people trying to find a new bayo because they threw theirs away to put a crappy bipod on, looking for a new barrel because they chopped the original off to make the gun tacticlol, etc.
Think of it like getting a tattoo - carefully consider what's going to get done, how its going to work, does it actually improve anything, etc. All the people who ran out and got giant big 'ol tribal and barbed wire tats in the 90's are hanging their heads now. Or should be.
