I've looked around, does anyone know of any aggressive muzzle brakes for the SKS that still uses the stock front sight and to Use the bayonet?
I want everything stock, just an aggressive muzzle brake to be added.

There are lots of sponsors that carry muzzle breaks for SKS, but a rifle with 7 pounds recoil doesn't get solved much other than looks alone. If that is what you are looking for then perfect. But don't expect much other results or you're wasting your hard earned cash.

i bought one of the NC star well the twist on and the bolt on and honestly i've had my SKS out about 5 times and havne't used it, my wife shoots the sks too and it isnt a problem. After reading reviews, i dont even want to try the bolt on one. The twist on one i may try at somepoint. I have a bipod on the sks as well and when shooting from the bipod the rifle doenst recoil heavy or muzzle lift a whole lot, you wanna solve that issue try bipod maybe.

Anything you add to the front of the barrel prevents use of the bayonet. And with the tiny recoil of the sks, you'll just be laughed at by anyone who knows what they are doing. Don't waste your money.

How about a new front sight that has built in AK threads if you decide to cut the barrel down or delete the bayonet sleeve? We are testing these out.

We have been working on a new Trueshot SKS Front Sight/ Thread adapters for those who wish to remove their front bayo sleeves/ sight assembly or cut their barrels down, when cut like the video, the barrel will be 18.7" no problem retaining non restricted status, faster handling & a way nicer, cleaner look! We tried to get the AK look & added a AK threaded front portion to it so you can now add any AK style brake to complete the look! These are standard SKS height, so you can use the original sights, but the new rear mount scope mount uses a built in rear mount adjustable peep sight & scope mount all in one. These are just finishing prototype stage & we will have pricing & stocking dates shortly. Just wanted some feedback on what you guys think, let us know!!

As I stated, I'm just looking for a bolt on muzzle brake for an aggressive look, with the use of the bayonet. The recoil on a SKS is like an Air rifle to me, not an issue.

Diswaying and pot shot comments aside, you won't find a brake that you can still use in conjunction with the bayonet.

I wonder if someone will design a muzzle brake so effective for the sks that it produces forward recoil.. That'd be an interesting concept

I want the bayonet left on the rifle, but then a muzzle brake on the end. I know the bayonet will not swing out to be used. It's just an idea, I'm seeing that the clamp on style by NC Star are not that great with the set screws stripping out. Thanks for the replies.

The Witt brakes are the best designed ones we have used yet on the SKS, you can literally keep a red dot on target while shooting! Check them out HERE.

how are you planning on attaching the bayonet with a muzzle brake. when you unfold it it will have no where to attach to as the muzzle brake will be in the way

While the new front sight doesn't do it for me personally, the rear rail/peep sight certainly does. In the vid he mentions a mid march release. Do you think that is realistic? I would gladly be a guinea pig to test out that rail/peep combo!

Sorry, i am my own guinea pig, i never get tired of testing cool new products or designing new stuff, LOL..... Yes, we will have everything in stock by the end of March or before. The sight is a combo fully adjustable rear mount peep, like the Tech sight, as well as a rock solid mount that goes over the receiver cover. The sight plane is the same as factory sights as well.
