Hi,

not sure this post fit here but here it is.
Just installed a muzzle brake on my sks (izzy 54). Its a pin on muzzle brake. everyting looks fine. the installation went super smooth but.. the muzzle brake is moving a little. Its loose.. Well, seems this little piece of equipment is just usuless on my rifle ?

Any way I can fix it ?

its this muzzle:

Anything loose on the end of your barrel when you are shooting is dangerous! Imagine what happens if it moves off the centre line enough for your projectile to impact it while you are shooting! If it is loose or suspect, I would remove it.

I just put one on. Measure the barrel O/D & the muzzle brake I/D, probably 20 thou or so difference like mine was. I just used a piece of .010 shim stock fits nice and tight.

Gunsmith if hes a good one will just tell you to remove it. You going to pay him for something that will blow off.

I'm pretty sure anyone who owned a SKS has a muzzle device blew off story.

Only good brakes are threaded barrel ones.

Best non threaded brake for the sks is the Choate made one.

Main caveat with sks brakes is that if shooting corrosive ammo, the brake needs to be removed and cleaned after each shoot.
