This mod allows shooting w/ bipod and Tapco mag is not an issue-aka it doesn't scratch the soil or table.
With extended mag release changing mags is super fast. If you tape two mags together- your fire is like 10 rounds, I will not do it, but just in case, so ppl know.

I do not deny that original design is quite effective in good hands, besides, it has aesthetic look, historical look etc.

Again, the point was an xtensive experiment, trying to "modernize" the gun and see how convenient it is in this specific mod.
As to inconvenience with cleaning: it is a reliable gun, I didn't hurt it inside anyhow, so I'd expect it will continue to be reliable. If I have to strip it in the field-I can still do it with 30-40 seconds longer time and more extensive stripping, I agree. But, in majority of cases, I totally disassemble the gun except the trigger group to clean it anyways. In SHTF scenario, yes, those 30-40 seconds may cost life, I agree, that's why, there must be other things on your body for those cases.
I totally agree, that a metallic mag is much more solid and incomparable to TAPCO plastic, but TAPCO mags have their own positive features
Metallic 30 rounds sks mag + no crazy 5 pins limits would be even better
But, many metallic versions jam even worse than TAPCO mag, more expensive and .... there is smth else

That's why I put it on, so I can use smth heavy to have some sort of grenade launcher effectI bet the most accurate thing on that rifle will be the muzzle brake (break? Should we start this again ?

SHTF case, I dont think you be worrying about cleaning. Its be quick wipe down if that or pour diesel on it and shake it. Its a SKS.
Exactly, I didn't modify any interior although some suggest good mods... so I think and hope it will be reliable.
I just got a QD clips and it is just amazing.
AASKS stock has one QD spot in front, which I will not use, since I prefer the original attachment in front.
But in the back it has 4! QD spots for almost any taste.
Single point is not for this gun or at least not for this stock IMHO
With lots of QD spots it has lots of tactical and carry around possibilities, which I specifically like about this stock
I prefer to use the original USSR SKS belt... hey smth should stay original w/o mods and it is just awesome.
My wife feels jealous, she says I am almost sleeping with my guns.

considering you have to pull the mag release toward yourself while rocking out the mag(unless you know a few tricks) but compared to say vz/cz 858 with a extended mag release or the stock m305 you can just hit he mag release with the fresh mag and know out the old one its so much easier. I found reloading the duckbill mag problematic and found reloading with chargers much faster(I cut them in half and make 5rd chargers) btw you could unpin the factory mag as well
...please don't unpin the mag. A legal sh1t storm with Hurricane like vengeance will fall on your head for owning a 'prohibited" device if caught...all for the sake of loading another 5!? Not worth it IMHO.
