SKS not a hunting rifle?

Wouldn't lower myself to even handle one! My buddy had one for a short time...we refered to it as the jam-a-matic. Got to the the ugliest piece of crap out there.

Funny, in my experience they almost never jam... Ever!
The "D" models some times, but not near as bad as alot of far more expensive arms!

As far as ugly goes, the same ting was being said about 20 years ago in regards to hunting rifles with synthetic stocks.

I have quite a few hunting Rifles, and love them all. If I am hunting in heavy bush, where shots are under 100 yards or so. I have no problems using my SKS. I personally think, even with the issue open sights that 200 yards is not out of the question. that said it would have to be under the best of conditions...

Some of my huntin rifles are almost useless in bush. A .300 Weatherby with a 26" tube is a total pain in the ass in heavy trees/brush.

Yes an SKS IS a very effective hunting rifle!!! Don't close your mind to any part of the firearms world just because your prefrence is something different...

I'm voting Liberal to ensure that the SKS is restricted, or even better, banned as it should be.

Canadians really don't need them anyways.

.

I hope your kidding!!!
That's not even really funny.. There enough people already saying the same thing about ALL hunting rifles... every time they take one away, more will follow.

I have a Chinese SKS (not Norinco stamped) and it has only jammed when I was firing it with one hand. I've put a couple of cases of ball through it. A very reliable semi-auto.

:dancingbanana::dancingbanana: I shot my first deer with an SKS !!!! :dancingbanana::dancingbanana:

It worked GREAT!!! It was opening morning, it was the biggest one that year, it was running fast being chased by the dogs.....

I don't have it anymore - although I'm thinking about getting another one just because they scare liberals.

Back to the point - they work on deer. :D
