SKS package deal with tapco stock for $389

I saw the norinco SKS with tapco stock and front hand grip and magazine for $389 from frontier firearms. It doesn't say if it is put together or if it comes in pieces. Has anybody ordered this SKS deal. Looks like a good deal. Marstar has one with the ATI stock with a scope. Does it come assembled?
 
If it isn't assembled, you can train a monkey to do it in under 5 minutes. I wouldn't take the deal unless I got the original parts in addition to the tactifoof.

If it does come assembled it is worth it to some just to have the gas tube already switched out, but make sure you get the original wood as well, you will probably want to switch it back at some point. Likely though you will get the SKS stock and the tapco kit in plastic.
 
x10 on the gas tube.........its at least a 6 smoke job. Or you could say "@#$% it" and smash it to peices like I did and then find out that friggin pin is still there......grrrrrr. And then when you get it all assembled the things as loose as goose ****...and you get a nice cold beer out of the fridge and laugh...cos sometimes lifes a peice of ****, but you know 10,000 more pple have made the same trip :))
 
Yah we just did one the other day.It was nothing but a pain in the ass.And this was the second one I did.They sell them for 25 buck done for you already,I would go that route.
 
Personally, I would buy a nice Russian refurb and ignore the tacticool crap. Chances are you'll get sick of it and want to go back to factory... and you won't have a mangled gastube to worry about. For that amount of money, I would actually look for a nice non-refurbished example. Just sayin'

+1. The best stock made for the SKS is the one it was issued with. The only change I would make is to add one of the long recoil pads to stretch the LOP a bit, they are very short as is. Then buy several crates of ammo and go shoot the thing until it smokes.

:) my father does it in 5 min but he has done it 10,000 times. I do it in 10 min. Pin is the problem but if you have the tools it is not. If you want that deal with Tapco I will start it in3 weeks.

OR, you could just drill it out and replace it with a 3/32 pin,,, then have a cold beer,, :)

But that sounds like a pretty good price,,
 
The package doesn't come with original stock. Ive ordered the package back when it was on sale for 329. I thought i would come with it but it didn't. would have been nice tho.
 
I have that cover on so tight in does not budge so the scope stays zeroed.My cases fly forward to the right and do not touch the scope.As for the scope its just one that came in a deal a ways back with the cover from Marstar.Here it is being shot a few times.
