Yes it is a sporter. It is restricted but it doesn't really bother me. I have a few more SKS to shoot when I don't go to the range. I bought it here on EE. It is the only one I have seen in Canada so I don't know how many more there are. When I saw it I had to have it...

I understand some don't like restricted but I have enough of them already why not have a restricted SKS.

There you go... The stock as been refinished to give it a nice reddish color. As you can see, the stock is wider at the bottom with a flat resting surface. Barrel must be 16 or 16.5"... I did't take the time to measure it.

Oh man, that's really a looker of an sks. I'd have no problem with having a restricted sks if it looked like that, I do most of my recreational shooting at a range anyway.

I'm assuming you mean you can't legally cut it back to less than 18.6

You can cut a barrel down as short as 18 inches legally. Under 18.6 will be restricted. Under 18 is prohibited.

this would be my favorite SKS, its take a AK mag, thumb hole stock and para . I prefer this blond wood tho. congrats.

Chop the barrel on a standard sks and re classify it if you really want one
