Has anybody mounted peep sites on there sks? If so how much did accuracy improve? I've put one on my Winchester 94 and it was like a different gun. Accuracy improved greatly. Want to know if its worth doing to my sks. I'm not into red dots and such so thats not gonna happen.

Yeah. I got a Williams peep sight and had it put on. Night and day for me but I also had a TAPCO stock put on at the same time, so...probably a combination for me.

I'm not sure how much it improved in regards to inches but it did improve my ability to consistently hit.

Best mod imo.

I have the tech site ts 200 on my sks too. Great mod much improved the gun. I also use the williams fire sight front sight. To answer your question, no the disassembly pin is replaced by a bolt and cap nut.

Tech 200 peep - experience

I've had a Tech 200 on now for about 3 years. IMO, only true peep for the SKS. Anything mounted on the barrel is not a "peep" as it is too far forward for the eye to center the front sight and target. Furthermore the Tech extends the distance from the front sight to the peep to 73 cm. whereas the battle sight base is only 43 cm. which makes for much increased accuracy. I also have a thinner Tech front sight. In the long sticky on sights for the SKS, my installation is shown. I added a split lock washer under the head of the bolt replacing the stock pin which ensures that my sight will return to the same position each time I remove it for cleaning the action. So far, it has worked well. My rifle is a laminated '51 Tula.
