hmmm building is not my thing. lol.. but ill test the hell out of it
that's quite the issue, whats the tool? prob something expensive? would you be getting the tool when you moved?
I really like the newest look and using the actual AR grip and AK style mag in the drawing helps to visualize the end product.
I like the higher stock tube at the back ALOT. really evens out the whole look.
Just to clarify something Rallix was talking about, you cant simply "use" a different magazine in an SKS. An AR or AK mag wont fit into the magwell area and utilizing the stock to hold the mag in does not solve the problem. The mag must be mounted high enough that the rounds can be stripped by the bolt. The SKS has about 2 inches of metal where the mag slides in so if you used the stock to hold another mag, there would still be a 2 inch gap. Im not sure about a CZ858 mag. Never seen someone try that. But there really is no benefit to it as it would still only hold 5 rounds. The only real way to benefit from a mag swap is to use the XCR pistol mags and get the extra 5 rounds or the Beowulf mags so you can load even more. But the mods to the actual SKS receiver are not easily done and not at all easily done by the average guy.
