The MagWedge is a good rail. The issue with the 1st gen was the screws and pin holding the rear. Some of us came up with either a bolt fix or a spring pin fix. He now has a pin you can get to hold the rear of the mount in place and remove it without tools. It works much better. That said I like mine. It will consistently put shots on the 300yd gong shot after shot with Sellier and Bellot 123gr soft point ammo. The zero is repeatable when you lift the rear of the mount to clean the gun and reattach. You will either have to hand load the mag from the top as you can't use the stripper clips. Or you can go with detachable mags for feeding. The built in shell deflector is nice as it knocks the spent casings down and right rather than the high arcing trajectories of the stock SKS. Just nice for the fellow shooting at the bench beside you.
