Threw one of those on an order from hical and just put it into my receiver cover..
I had to tap it down with a large punch (the butt end) cuz its super tight in there... and of course the extra spring tension makes putting the receiver cover back on just a bit harder but not much... just gotta hold it in more firmly while pushing the pin through. (I have a wartek rail).

Anyone ever used one of these? not sure what to expect.

Instructions say 10,000 rounds of life, and will kill the recoil to the receiver cover, meaning less barrel jump and less thwack. (Not that there is any really, but faster target reacquisition?)

Any thoughts?

Save your money and shove a piece of rubber behind the spring instead. It doesn't accomplish much and the rifle only has a half dozen pounds of kick anyways. The rifle will work for decades, rubber or otherwise. Not sure what the point is.

in an aftermarket stock the kick is more pronounced because of the rigid materials.. so there can be more lift, in tactical uses it'd be nice to quiet it down a little for target acquisition....

sitting at a bench at the range it makes no nevermind.

thats my theory.
i'll bring a couple SKS's out to the range and report back though on the one with the bumper.
