I left just enough room to use the stock open sights - hope to sight it in this week - seems to be two dots when I look through it but the battery is weak so maybe that's it /

Also it looks like there is a lack of a check weld. Meaning if you are cross eyed dominate that you will see 2 dots instead of 1.

I like the idea.. Is it stainless steel or aluminum?. Let us all know how it works for you.

If my Marstar scope and mount dont work out, Ill be going for that idea. Thanks.

Just plain steel painted flat black - drilled and tapped the three holes in the receiver - two were soft and the last was a pita; 3 drillbits and several sharpenings later I had to go by 1/64" increments from 1/8" up to the 7/64" required and sharpen them all - thankfully I didn't break a tap in the hole

thats a great idea, much cheaper than buying an aftermarket setup. the rail where did you get it? and also that steel was it something you bent up or did you find a pre bent piece like that? im thinking of doing the same with a basic L bar from home depot. last time, the holes you drilled, did you go all the way though or did you drill and tap almost all the way though? any more info would be great, drill and tap combo and screw information aswell please if you dont mind
