Hello, I am new to the forum and some what new to reloading. I would like to know if there is any problem shooting pistol bullets at around 2000 fps. The reason I ask is because when I slugged the barrel of my sks it came out to .314, and I would like to try hand loading up some 32 cal pistol bullets in speer 115 g gold dots and hornady 100 g xtp. But don't know if they will hold up to the velocity. All I really do with it is punch paper and am not concerned with penetrating power. I have already tried barnes tsx in both .311 and 7.62x39 (.310) and hornady amax in 30 cal. I have some speer hot cor in .311 that I am also going to try. Oh yeah they are all 150 grain except the 7.62x39 they are 123.
The main purpose of this is just fun in experimenting to see what kind of accuracy I can get out of this gun. That being said I don't want to experiment at the cost of my face if the bullet is just going to turn to shrapnel in the barrel. So if any one has any info on this or of a link to a previous thread that has covered it that would be great. Thanks
