SKS Safe Storage? Trigger and cable locks

Hi all,

I've searched everywhere but couldn't find an answer to this question.

Brought home an SKS tonight and I got a cable lock for it at the store, now that it's home I'm thinking that using a cable lock required the bolt to be kept open I don't want to keep the spring compressed.

Trigger locks won't fit on it.

Soooo....what is your suggestions for best safe storage? how do you store yours? no safe or cabinet yet.

I have multiple sks and every trigger lock I have tried works on mine. U must be doing something wrong.

Trigger lock works fine on mine as long as the safety is off?

AHHHH I put the safety in the off position and the lock fits

Remove the bolt from the carrier and store bolt in your range bag in another room?

thanks all, we did the get the trigger lock on once the safety was off.

Once cleaned tomorrow the bolt will stay off too, and hidden.

Cabinet is on the way soon
