SKS Scope E-Bay???

Hi and hello,

Bough a SKS couple of weeks ago and a load of ammo. It's fun to shoot and takes a lot of time to clean -thank you elbow grease-.

Now, I'm looking for a scope and found something on Ebay-SKS 4X30 RIFLE SCOPE WITH TRI RAIL MOUNT COMBO PACKAGE-

Worth the money or not?

My opinion not worth the money. The mount will frustrate you. I would recommend a drill and tap mount. Check out the SKS optic thread in Red Rifle

Properly installed, they will hold zero. If you plan on using this rifle for "hunting," sight it in, shoot non-corrosive soft point through it doing so, and leave it. Buy another SKS for your fun and plinking. At $169.99 a piece for SKS's now, you can't go wrong.

I found with a cheap scope and receiver cover tri-rail mount with decent ammo that the SKS is plenty accurate for deer at ranges up to 150 yrds.

One thing you probably will need to do is actually file the receiver cover mount to get the darned thing to fit. Once you do, though, there's no way that it will come loose, as it is a tight fit.
