Rear peep made from a Lee Enfield "L" sight. Cut a slot in cover, push it in, braze.
Note the front sight. A large aperture and a crosshair. For quick shooting, just put the target in the ring. For fine shooting, use the cross hair.
Very sturdy, reliable and accurate.

The rifle left the factory with a back sight, I'll wager.Interested to know how you decided the height of that unit, was it luck of the draw? Or painful trial and error?

Nice system, a bit like some H&K guns. Good thinking!A large aperture and a crosshair. For quick shooting, just put the target in the ring. For fine shooting, use the cross hair.
I like the red dot sights and recomend em' on an sks. This will sound crazy, but i really like the vortex venom. I know $300 for a sight for a $240 rifle is a bit nuts, but i like it.
The tech sight is a pain in the azz. You have to modify the rear take down pin, then you have to unbolt it to clean the rifle. The rear aperture sight is better and one type slides over the rear sight ladder
