Hi all, just instaled a Kotate mount on my sks was wondering what the best scope would be for this set up.I no there are lots to chose from but not quite sure whats the best bang for the buck, any help would be greatly appreciated.

+1 on beach bum's comment, or if you just prefer optics.
I am currently using...
A Leapers 6x32 A.O. mini 8 1/2" long and also use a
Simmons red dot, both are holding up quite well.
Shotgun scopes also work well and tend to
have a bit more eye relief. Another decent red dot
(for the money) is the Tasco BKRD 30. Many will bad
mouth the Chinese scopes but these work for me.
Should you wish to spend a bit more the Nikon
Prostaff BDC # 6722 is an excellent choice.

Now that's a cool reticale. Who hear speaks Russian?

This reticles for tochpribor scopes are made for 308, 22rimfire and 7.62x39. I have the one for 7.62x39 the quality of glass is comparable to leopold, reticle is ideal for that caliber. The scopes are not cheap if I was to sale mine which is slightly used I would be asking $180.00 for it new ones sale in Russia for about $250.00

I also put on a choate mount, Tapco T6 stock and went with a Leupold VX-2 in 3-9x40 trust me it peforms well. Do it right the first time and you won't kick your self for half ass-ing it down the road.

Do the ejection mod too ! It works awesome !

what about loading can you still use the striper clips with that scope,i was looking for something short that wouldnt interfare with loading ,yha i will have to do the ejection mod to

For stripper clips you will not be able to get away with a fullsize scope without offsetting it to the side like a POSP. For TDC mounting you will need to either go with a scout mount that puts your optic infront of the action of a reciever mount that puts it over the rear cover. (choate, converta-mount etc. If over the rear cover is the way you want to go, you will need a compact scope with a shorter eye relief. Unfortunately most of the good brands dont offer these types aside from pricey CQB scopes.
