sks scout red dot

i mounted a red dot on my sks its chinese so i know the groupings won't be amazing but i just can't seem to sight it (can't use the bore sighter cuz its too high) tried doin it manualy i'm thinking of buying a barrel laser just to ball park it then sight it any ideas?

Start really close to target. As close as it takes to get on paper.
Slowly extend the range.

Hey Bigdog, can we see a picture of the red dot mounted on the rifle? I bet it looks nice.

Set your paper at 25 yards, bench, and sandbag the rifle with it's barrel floating.

yea its lookin good i'm changing the stock tonight replacing the wood with a ATI dragunov its a chinese sks-d so the accracy can't be amazing but if it can shoot decent groups at a 100 yad which i hear it can all be happy all try to post a pic in a week or so

hey snips nice stuff did have a trouble sliding that stock on? also my red dot fits over top of my rear sight i had to carve a small section outta my hand guard to fit but i'm actually happy with it the feel is much nicer

yea i had to sand down the front a bit and carve a section out for the scout mount nothing too major i'm really impressed with the strength of the stock and hey is that a springfield 308 it looks great
