Does anyone know where I can buy an sks sear in Canada. Polished sks sear on a Chinese sks I have that came out great. But last night while polishing my Russian sear, I f'd up and took too much off. I watched a YouTube video on how to do it. I knew I went wrong when u look in inspection hole the disconnect or won't touch when you squeeze trigger, it passes underneath. Need sear bad, not putting it back in gun, need new one. Please help!!!! By the way everything is good on Chinese one and all safety checks were done and test fired yesterday. My Russian out of commission til I get new sear! Help!!!!!

you can file the rail slots on each side of the sear so it seats deeper ,unless you went way too far .

I have bought sks sears from sksman in the states before , if you cant find one at hi cal

about a 1 week turn around, $99, including a set of Wolff springs, adjusting engagement, polishing contact & rail surfaces & shortening sear. Just mail us the trigger group, along with your contact info (very important...)

Just file the angles on the side of the sear a bit until you get good hammer engagement again. Worst case scenario you can file the middle U of the sear also if that's holding it up.
You can shorten the sear to the point of needing to add spacers to the spring just to get it to push far enough to catch the hammer. There's no way you've gone that far.
Don't bother ordering anything. Just spend some time looking at how all the trigger parts work and fix what you've got.

Speaking from experience unfortunately, I've learned my own lessons with SKS trigger jobs....

We just got the Murray SKS sears & hammers back in stock, we also have the 31 lb hammer spring kits, if you are getting light hammer strikes with surplus ammo, HERE.
