I just finished redoing my SKS. I don't know who made it but I got it from HiCal. It's just called a 'Short Muzzle Brake" a bit over 2" long. Problem is that it fits like crap. I'm sure some of you guy's know what I mean. How did you fix it ???

I got one too and didnt even put it on...Even though it probably wont do much other than looks, I got it. It fits on super loose and is too heavy. I say scrap it.

I don't find the muzzle brake heavy at all, maybe if it had the bayo and stuff on it too. I think I'll shim it with some aluminum sheet. I'm waiting to hear from Dave at HiCal to see if he has some idea's

The best way is the SKS to AK muzzle adapter, it puts AK threads on the SKS muzzle so you can use any AK muzzle brake!

Hard to see, but does that adapter have Allen head screws sticking out of the adapter ? If they do I don't think I'd like that. Unless they screw down farther.

I have the A6 brake on mine and it works very well. It's made for the VZ58 family but Works fine on the sks with the right threading. If you promise to take care of it I can lend you my die and die handle and die strter so you can thread your barrel but you'll also need to buy a crush washer or an indexing nut/Jam nut. I got mine from cnc warrior in the US, great guys to work with. w ww.cncwarrior.com
