Hey guys, I searched around and found a couple conflicting experiences, so hopefully this isn't a dumb question. I've been looking into optics and mounting, I really like the look, relability and price point of the POSP style optics, but my question is, is it hard for a leftie to use them? Some people said they functioned fine with them, other people said no way.

Im mounting a side angle on mine in the near future.

I dont like the inaccurate mount idea so far that ive seen for an sks, from any retailer.

Side mount is the way to go to really find the true accuracy of youre rifle, and squeeze the most potential out of youre surplus ammo.:D

you can get a cheap good mount from weaver

The weaver "convert a mount" for the 870 will fit the sks perfectly and it is a drill and tap side mount they are about $20

Thanks for the responses guys, I've looked at the Choate and convert-a-mount options, I still really like the look of the SKS's with a side rail and a POSP or even a PK-A dot. Anybody else have any experience with the Russian optics and trying it as a leftie?

R u left eye domint too?
Have you seen this rail from Interammo?

Just don't screw it into the stock & your laughing as this will be perfect for what your looking for.

Thanks, thats exactly what I'm looking for. Ya I am left eye dominant as well. I was just worried because the optics sit off center to the left of the receiver slightly, but after actually looking at it today, it doesn't seem like it would be much of a strain at all for my left eye to look through.
