SKS sight in zero distance

What distance is recommended to sight in an eotech on an sks with one of those Ncstar SKS Scope Tri-Mount that replaces existing receiver cover? I want to get the most out of it. I zeroed an eotech on my xcr at 50 yards and that gets me within a couple inches out past 200 yards. At what distance should I zero it and where will it be on target again further out?

I would stick with the same 50yd distance. Then again, I don't shoot my SKS past 50yds sticking with iron sights and all. I'm curious as to how well the NCstar mount will hold zero after some rounds. Please post an update when you find out.
 
There is no recommended distance. You can zero for whatever range you like, you will be correct at 2 distances. A ballistics program or actual observation will tell you how far off you are at other ranges.
There really is no need for "you must zero your rifle at x yards" any more. With a red dot, you can put a luggage tag on your sling with the holdoffs for 100/200/300 yards, it is easy to do and that is how you get the most out of it.
 
With all centre fire rifles, zero at 25 yards will put you on paper at 100.

From there you fine tune the scope/ rifle to 1 or 2 inches above aiming point to bring youre rifle to normal close range shots, by close range I mean 200 yards.

If you have a higher scope mount than is normal... you should have the impact a bit lower (1/2 inch) at 25 yards to hit on paper at 100 yards, to again... fine tune youre rifle.
