Sks spring loaded firing pin

If you dont want a rusty firing pin and dont want to clean it out after each trip to the range, then lightly oil it. Ive been doing this for a long time and Ive never had a slam fire. The only time an oiled floating pin might be a problem is using crappy oil when its really cold outside. Cosmoline in 20deg. weather doesnt slam fire...ask me how I know. I take it apart every few hundred rds to clean it and find theres barely any crap built up.
