Hello!

Received my first SKS today! A nice 1950 one that is "lightly" refurb (stock is a 1952 one with old serial X'ed and re-serialed to match the rifle).

One thing is missing: the tube type cleaning kit that is "hidden" in the stock.

Is is easy to replace it? How to replace it? Where I can get a replacement that would fit my year (1950)? Any dealers that offer them?

Thanks!

Where'd you get it? Ask them if they "forgot" to include your cleaning kit.

Shipped separately the postage will more 'n likely cost you more than the kit =)

Milarm, Moving Target, Marstar, Tradeex, Lever Arms, Wolverine etc.

Somebody had 'em for about 5 bux.

EDIT and when you do get it, hold the trap door open and have a gander inside... I have a buddy who got a hell of a splinter under his finger nail while digging around the the stock =P

Is that the little metal tube and there's 3 tools in it one them a brush other one looks like a pick and i don't know how to say what the 3rd one looks like. I have one sitting around here if your looking for one

A 22 LR brass brush & patch set-up works just as good and for the largger hole I use a 45 ACP brass brush and patch. Also brake cleaner with this set-up cut's your time in half!
