I want to update my SKS and make it look more modern, I will eventually buy another one and leave it bone stock but this one needs to be "upgraded".

My research says the ATI's are not fitted as well so I'm leaning towards the Tapco Intrafuse with bayo cutout along with the tapco 5 round mag and the tapco extended mag release.

Can the factory gas tube be used on the tapco aftermarket stock or is a replacement required?

I saw a rail on a picture of one of these that ran the entire length of the top of the stock (it was a different stock but same idea) with a shell deflector built in, can one of these be added to this stock, and if so, where do I find one, I cant find it on any of the sights I looked through.

Thanks.

To answer your question yes you can use the tapco stock and your wood hand guard. And yes the wartak/magwedge rails fit the tapco stock. Hi calibur has the wartak rail and wainstalls has the magwedge both reputable dealer that i buy from often.

Thanks zeuce.

I may order the rail from you guys at hical but I found the tapco stock in my budget, in Canada for under $100 so cant really justify over double for the one you posted, even though it is a sweet looking stock.

How the hell can you say that?!? If i can properly shoulder the rifle because i can adjust its length, how does that make it shoot worse?

I can say that because alot of the aftermarket stocks, doo dads and add ons, aftermarket magazines ect. are usually more of a gimmick than anything. Alot of it is junk, and again, the rifle doesn't work any better with them, and sometimes worse.
