I got my Tapco T6 stock from gunpartsguy too. It took 7 days to get here to BC. :)

I have a question about putting the stock on though. I got it all on, except in the picture below where the red arrows are...the screws seem too short to me. Were yours really short? I can't get the nuts onto the other end of them. I am clueless about building things etc so maybe it's me but I was wondering if I needed to get longer screws? Were yours really short?

I also don't have any tool to get the screw thingy into the pistol grip so I will have to borrow or buy a 3/8 socket for that...my son told me over the phone that I would need an extension for it too...is that right?

Thanks for any help you can give me! :) These are very minor details. I won the battle with the damn handguard LOL so I am VERY happy the hardest part is done. :D I will post a pic once I get the pistol grip on too.

Annie, from one un-handyman to another, I'd favorited the installation video from Tapco's youtube channel weeks ago in anticipation.

Short answer is to use the back of a screw driver or hammer and bang the nuts into the left side holes until they're seated snug, the screws will go on no prob.

Oh awesome! I didn't know about that video, I will watch it. Ha ha I was putting the screws in, then trying to get my fingers into the holes holding the nut and trying to screw it on. LOL This sounds MUCH easier. Thank you so much!!!!!!

I am dying inside here. I am waiting on the stock to show up and for my M14 to show as well. Man this is going to be a great week when they both show up. I have already field stripped the sks a few times to get myself familiar with its parts and how everything is supposed to fit together so swapping stocks should be a breeze.

I'm too late...

Ordered a T6 stock from the gunpartsguy, and was informed 2 hours later that they can no longer ship to Canada. Bummer...

That sucks. Did you check out our sponser sites above?? You may still get lucky.
Honestly, I haven't seen any dealer in Canada getting more of US stock imports. I just called my friend in Detroit & asked him to order the stuff for me. Gives me an excuse to go there & shoot his guns, LOL.

Here is a snippet of rules regarding Canada exportation from the U.S. to Canada for SKS parts as per a popular website that sells a lot of gun parts:

1. Canada is not on the restricted list of countries from the U.S.

2. General price rule - As of April 1 2008, we will no longer accept export orders where the value of the parts exceeds $100 or that contain a restricted part, requiring an export license from the U.S. Department of State or an import license from the country of destination. (Note: Canada has a $500 parts limit)

3. Restricted Models List: SKS amongst others (and it's classified in the "assault rifle" category when it isn't an assault rifle by definition)

4. Restricted parts: barrels, barrel blanks, bolt assemblies, cylinders, receivers, frames, bolts, and high capacity magazines.

While the part we're discussing is for an SKS, a stock is not on the restricted list for the SKS, and the part is under $500.00. Export from the U.S. into Canada is legal. So having a Tapco stock shipped to Canada passes the stress test.

If this company doesn't want to ship one to you they are doing it out of fear no other reason.

There are companies in the U.S. that will ship stocks here. They may be a little more pricey but at least you'll get what you're looking for.

If all else fails EEEBAAAYYY is your friend.

Thanks again Drewz , heres what it looks like , after taking the pic i changed the adjestable stock to a angled rail not the straight on seen here , it makes it better to use the scope
