SKS stocks. Birch vs Laminated

I'm looking to buy an SKS in the near future. I noticed there are a few kinds available. I'm most interested in a Russian. I searched but couldnt find any info about the "Birch" stocks.

Which stock is more durable? Birch or Laminated?

laminated is generally a little more durable and doesnt warp in moisture nearly as badly, but its an sks not a tac driver and the birch is still tough hardwood.. the differences are negligable at best.

The only meaningful difference is appearance, do you want multiple tones of wood and that layerd look, or do you want natural hardwood grain.

I personally prefer birch.

Both are collectible in the Russian rifles. the laminate is stronger and has less breaks in combat. many referb rifles have been re-stocked with laminate.
