SKS stripper clip price question

I posted that months ago as a joke ($5 each), didn't think someone would run with it lol. Garand clips go for about $2 and you can buy 5 packs of Mosin clips for $5.

I gave some to a guy on this site looking for them for FREE. Can't believe what he told me, some people were asking him to pay up to $5.00 EACH.

Most types of X39 surplus are packed with 20 rds in a paper packet, X amount to a tin. The Czech is on clips but most if not all others use the paper packs.

I'm not sure if all the 7.62x39 comes with it.
Certainly if a vendor was removing them from stripper clips and selling them separately - I'd go buy it elsewhere.

Actually, if they bought them for $6 and sold for $10, that would be a 66.6% mark up. If accuracy counts, and on a gun forum, it should!

Yeah! I never really broke out the calculator or was intending specific retail lingo but was simply saying that after the 60% portion is paid they have 40% left for profit. 6 and 4 equal 10 and extending that to 100 on a percent basis I see 40% or $4.00 profit. Actual retail mark up would be close to what you have stated, but as you so eloquently put, this is a gun forum and accuracy counts, so it would be much closer to 66.6666% than just 66.6% but not 66.667 as that would miss the mark :p

Better not get me started on accuracy, its a lot like math and open to a persons perspective :)

I sell mine on the EE 30 clips for 25 shipped. it costs me 13-15 bux to ship them can post. so im selling them for 10 bux for 30 clips essentially

Last couple gunshows I was at a few guys were trying to hawk them for between 25 and 50 cents apiece. Not many takers from the look of things though. I always buy Czech ammo when it's available, no shortage here.

Had you said, 40% profit margin, you would have been perfectly correct. However, you said markup, which is the profit margin, expressed as a percentage, or fraction of the cost. As far as continuing decimals, when talking about currency, a 1 digit decimal, is generally accepted.

I do hope you are taking this, in the nature it is intended, as humor on an internet forum. Nothing else. Just yanking your chain.
