SKS stripper clip prices

I like to put 5 rounds on a clip and mark them. Then wrap the rest of the clip in electrical tape. I find it makes a better "handle" when trying to get them out of dump pouches. The ones I cut down to 5 rounds were too small for my hands.

I do the same, but add a tie wrap under the tape which give you something to pull them out of the ammo pouch with.

Good idea. I will do that with my next batch. I use Yugo surplus SKS ammo pouches, they are great. They hold 5 clips vertically and can be worn on your belt and have suspender D rings.

I recently bought a Chinese sks . The clips that came with it look un used , but are horrible . The shells fall out of the clips right where the 4 little crimps on the sides of the clips are . Thinking I might do a lil weld there , then grind smooth to fix them . They are tens . I will also try the ideas here to convert them to fives

I got them from Marstar. Next time I am at the range with them I will take some pics.

Here is the link to the pouches. They are listed as holding 2 clips. You can put 5 in each side if you stagger them, they will be tight.

Her are 2 pics of the pouches. I put 5 clips in for storage and use them with 4 for shooting. They are well made. I ordered 5 sets a few years ago. 4 were never issued an 1 had been issued.

I think I have a 100 or so in a bag in my crawlspace. If anyone wants them, they can have them. I'm on the Island, or if they want them that bad, they pay shipping, they can have them mailed out...

Personally i just order the CZECH surplus ammo that comes on strippers from whoever happens to have it at a decent price. out of the many hundreds of rounds ran through my SKS not one failed to go bang

I've picked up dozens from the ground at the range. In fact, I just "gave them away" for free when I sold some ammo that was surplus to my needs.
