Looking to convert my Russian SKS (1954) matching serials unissued, to a tactical stock with optics, foregrip, light...etc.

Can't find anyone online in Canada that sells a combo/package of all the hardware. Only peice by peice. What's the deal, a few US distributors sell complete packages, but am I missing something about the availability of these options on this side of the fence, or is there a retaailer who offered a package deal?

cheers

Cosmo

Tula or Izhevsk?

Just pick up someone already tricked out one. It be cheaper then buying all the parts. You see them posted everyday SKS in Tapco stock, mags, scope mount, ETC. Then you got a SKS for spare parts.

Also none of my business but a numbers matching unissued is kind of a shame to bubba. Do as you will but it seems there has been a crap tonne for sale in the Ee lately maybe one already done isn't a bad idea cheaper too. I kinda dig the saber tooth stock hi cal has seems kinda nice I guess that one you might have to put together but it does seem like they fixed some ergonomics that other stocks lacked. I've modded them and the 10 22 it seems I've found all that stuff is just stuff. Less is sometimes more. Just remember a vz cv 58 is like 300 more by the time you have your sks all tac'd out and you won't get the money back in resale. Just a thought.

Allow me to issue some advice.
The SKS is best in its original form. Don't waste your money on aftermarket crap, it won't help it perform better and you'll never get your money back.
Instead, buy a CZ858, or even the new 958. - tacticool out of the box

Best advice here!
I have personally seen tacticooled SKSs shyte the bed at matches. All the stuff just makes the gun heavier.

Dont go to Hi {HIGH PRICED] cal...they charge seriously 3/4+ x the price on many items compared to others! Just an fyi.

Same I did a thread on a build which I did twice. First as a tacicool, then as a hunting rifle. I found a lot of issues. Tacicool becomes uselessly heavy and hunting cool has a poor sight line up and is heavy as well. Firing pin spring, trigger spring, mojo sight, extended mag release and a larger mag in the original stock is all I use now.

Don't waste your money... Why do you want a light on a gun with a 20" barrel? It performs best in stock form. Just learn how to shoot it properly and you'll be fine. Or just buy a Vz58/CZ858
