A friend's SKS takedown lever broke, so I ordered another one from Marstar. I have received the new takedown lever and the little pin. The takedown lever has a hole straight through for the pin. The pin is a short straight piece with a knub at the end. I am not quite sure how to secure the pin to the takedown lever.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you.

This, sorta, ensurely that the pin will not come out by curling the non knub end.

Thanks for the advice guys. I did try to pound it in with a hammer once the takedown lever was in it's proper place in the gun. It seemed to work until i started to dremel the other end of the pin because it was protruding out too much. The pin essentially dropped out. I remember reading somewhere that a recommended approach was to "stipple" (correct term?) by gently hammering the shaft of the pin in multiple places all around, creating shallow dimples inthe metal, I then have it a good hit twice, and it seemed to take. I dremelled the rest, and it seemed to stay. We'll see after a range visit.

Thanks again everyone.
