SKS tech sights?

And just how easy is it to remove ones receiver cover with those sights on?

As every SKS I have handled has needed the receiver cover to move back abit (1/8th or 1/4 of an inch) in order to be removed from the rifle.

So I can't see how this can happen with these sights unless they were installed on the receiver cover itself, and not the back of the receiver.

Just an observation.
But I do like the look of them. :)

yes, I bought one. it holds "o" pretty well (it's the GUN thats not accurate!). you have to grind the bump off the the receiver cover pin and remove it(EEK, NO GOING BACK! hehe). the sight is held on with a special screw that replaces that pin and is wedged on one side (thats how it "returns to 0" ). it was pretty easy to get sighted in and everything. my groups got a smidge better, not like scoping the gun, it's still iron sights, right. I bought it on a whim. I wanted to keep the gun with iron sights but I hated the little "v" groove sights. if you want accruacy, buy a scope mount. but if your like me and want to keep it with iron sights, this is a good option. the "special bolt" needs an allen key to remove, so theres no "no tool" feild stripping. but hey, take an allen key with you and there you go. having said all that, I own two sks, and only one of them wears this sight.
I hope this helps,
