sks techsights reviews

I bought the adjustable one for mine, and I like it a lot better than the stock rear sight. Not much more to say about it, other than it seems to be well made.

i bought the ts100 and have put it on my sks. Just have not been to the range to try it out yet - fit and finish is good.
Picked it up while in the US on vaca, tossed it in my shaving kit on the trip back. (its a hunk of metal and a couple of screws).

Hoping to get to the range n the next couple of weeks to test it out.

We don't talk about that here. Bad Noway123, bad. (Rolls up a newspaper...)

Does it require any permanent modification to the rifle to put one on?

Not permanent, per se. You have to remove the factory take down pin, on the dust cover, and that may require a dremel, as the retainer pin may be in there "permanently'. Also, the set screws will mark the receiver finish, so put it on your chinese SKS, not your Russian, Bubba. ;)

I bought a TS200 a while back and just put them on a week ago. Had to grind off that retaining pin, so it was a permanent mod to the rifle unless you can get a lever with a pin that is not installed. I also put on the narrower front target sight which helps alot at 100 yards or more. The adjustments are 5/8 MOA.

I found the cross bolt to be very hard to fit through both the receiver cover and the receiver itself; bit of a misalignment problem. Ended up putting it through the opposite direction than the instructions say and lightly tapping it in. I managed one 2.25 inch group at 100 yards; then I guess the barrel heated up cause they were going wherever, but on a cold barrel the sights seemed to work very well. They should be checked once in a while for looseness.

So if I were to order some directly from tech sites would anyone be interested in any? I'd ship them to you when they get back, in April I think. My grandparents live in Arizona all winter so I could and have used their address.

I'm swinging back and forth between the tech sight and the williams. Can anyone here comment on accuracy with the williams?
I'm a little afraid of the peep being up where the rear sight should be(although if you can focus on the rear sight, you can look through a peep)
Also I think the tech sight is fugly, with it's rounded shape at the rear(yeah, ugly on an sks, I know).

tech sights rock... I also have the front fire sight

I was reading the guns.com (?) website the other day. They had a story about Marlin releasing an Appleseed Project specification semi0auto .22LR rifle. The de rigeur rifle was apparently a Ruger 10/22 and a Tech Sight. Supposedly a fellow suggested Ruger would do well to issue an Appleseed Project model 10/22 but he was summarily brushed off. Ruger's loss to Marlin.
