Its probably been going on for a while, but it just hit me, by reading SKS related threads, that the SKS has developped quite a fan base of collectors. Years, factory, country, all matching, refurb or not, matching stock... Its obviously grown well past the point of being simply a cheap 7.62x39 rifle. SKS collectors are starting to sound like Mauser collectors 
Let's hope they get to enjoy it for a while longer before fakes start to pop up.
