I had one of my Russian refurbs done last year, IMHO not worth the $$$ on a <$200 gun. The SKS is good enough for what it is, but a sniper rifle it is not.
Best to get used to the creep/take up on your particular rifle. After a few hundred rounds you'll hardly notice it anymore.

If you had proper trigger work done and did not notice a marked improvement then the trigger job you had done was not done right. If the sailorcurt video's are followed you will not believe the improvement of the SKS trigger. I would suggest you use a new sear.
SKS rifles are fun but with extended use of one with its milsurp spec trigger, when you go to your tuned trigger on your favorite coyote rifle, you have to get used to it all over again. That's where snap caps come in handy.
I agree with what was stated above, a decent trigger job should have made a very noticeable difference to trigger pull. It certainly won't be like the adjustable triggers on your sporter. You have to be careful while doing the trigger job, if it isn't done right, you will have a full auto burst that can be embarrassing and maybe dangerous.

I did it on mine myself. mostly just smoothed out the grittyness and changed the sear engagement to a very very slight posistive engagement (i didn't want to cut too much and screw it up.) Worth it fi you do it yourself and your trigger is bad to begin with. not worth it if you don't feel you can do it safely and not worth paying for.
I also installed som ewolff gun springs but backed out of that since it caused problems(misfires) with my spring loaded firing pin. I plan on removing my spring loaded pin and find a non spring loaded one.

I followed this video and now have a crisp pull around 6-7lbs with very little creep. Defiantly worth doing, only takes about 15min. It also made the rifle safer as the sear now has a positive engagement rather than a negative.
