SKS Trigger troubles

Hi all, looking to troubleshoot this SKS trigger.

I noticed the issue when inclining (30-45 degrees) the rifle when tucking the stock in the armpit and doing loading/dry fire drills,

When I rack the bolt with force, the hammer drops when the bolt slams forward.

I know this is not safe to shoot, I will not shoot it in this condition, and will not load the rifle in any circumstance. I've only been able to recreate this when the rifle is pointing barrel up, or inclined 30-45 degrees up into the air.

The rifle's trigger will otherwise reset normally and not drop the hammer if I do not rack the rifle with force.

It otherwise appears to function normally, except for the use case where I incline the rifle and then rack it with force.

I think it is an issue with the sear. I am not sure if there were any trigger jobs done to it. I have not disassembled the trigger group before. I've put maybe 400 rounds down the pipe since I've owned it. Any insight would be appreciated.

You may be right about a sear problem. It's likely you need an 'un-altered' one, BUT I'd advise you get the opinion of someone 'in person' who is familiar with the SKS. It could be something that can be adjusted, but I don't advise 'experimenting' unless you have some experience with the issue.

sometimes that sear in front of the trigger group gets sticky and will do just what yours is doing
Give it a real good cleaning, soak it if possible then oil it up and it should be good
The small spring in front of the sear is prob gummed right up too

So, pieced the trigger group apart and plucked out the sear.

It looks like the previous owner bubba'd a trigger job which now explains the relatively good trigger on this SKS, I transplanted a new sear on it from a donor rifle, and all seems to be well... I am unable to recreate the malfunction anymore. I am now looking for a sear; however, it seems to be a little harder to find, if anyone has a lead on one, I'd appreciate it
