Just wondering what an sks would be worth today, if it were manufactured today to the quality and finish of the surplus ones we are getting. and put on the market?? Of course without the surplus sks around that we have. And would the Russian or Chinese Military versions demand more or be around the same?

OH Yea ,,what reasoning do you have for your answer.?

I often wondered why some Firearm company doesn't start producing these Rifles again given the popularity of the SKS...maybe when supplies start to run out down the road. Having said that the cost to do so would likely be pretty high so just a guess but i would imagine you would pay $700.00-800.00 for a newly Manufactured one today.

At least $1k, likely more. Look at the SAI M1A's.

If they were to produce these today I would expect it be in the 7-800 range for a synthetic stock version. They would probably only have an internal 5 round mag and maybe no chrome lining.

With the CZ-858's selling for approx. $700, it would be tough to sell a "new manufacture" SKS for more than that. If surplus SKS's were not available, I'd think $500 would be reasonable.

The sks is what it is..
Accuracy is what you are hoping for... if not, then throw it in the same bin as the original mini 14 rugers which in my opinion are worth the same as an sks.

The finest materials and workmanship dont mean squat if its inaccurate.. for a rifle, it should be important.:ar15:
