SKS variations and oddities

Ok, so SIR /Frontier thread has gotten way off topic. I am expecting my first SKS from Frontier this week. Lets do this thread on what you have, what you want and what the variations we have seen. Mine is supposed to be a light tan laminate stock, matching serial numbers and after Wednesday or Thursday I will update on what I got...Whats yours???

And rumour has it that the Ruskies are releasing 186,000 rifles of which 10,000 are slated for Canada. For all you folks collecting every year and armoury, this year looks good 'cause when their gone, their gone.

10,000 would be wonderful but where did you get your rumour ? can you provide more info?
 
10,000 to Canada in total. That's including what has arrived. 186,000, that's to the war'ing nations around the world, they are not picky, collecting or killers. Your warm basement or in the hands of fighting factions. I know of one supplier waiting like SIR, but want my handpick then will advertise where to be found. I have one from Frontier but want my unfired Izzie. The supplier I have found is not advertising or taking advance orders. I will certainly post when available....Like me, get your restricted licence, how long before the CZ858 and SKS will go on the list?????
 
The vendor tells me, like we have heard so many times, We have ordered and have no idea when they will arrive, I am contacting twice a week and will certainly let you know, after I get my handpick...smiles....They ordered from IZH....
 
did a dealer/importer tell you 10,000 (including already here) are coming ?

If they go on any list now it won't be restricted it will be prohibited and/or confisicated when the libs get back into power. :(

Canada isn't Liberal, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal is, Come out to REAL Canada, the millions of acres in rural Canada....
 
Well, I've got a oddity, it has a 18 1/2" barrel, has been modified to accept AK mags and has an odd factory code. I've posted a few pics of it before but hey, it's a strange one...
