SKS versus CZ 858 tactical versus AK-47

What's so unergonomic about the AK? I'll grant the safety but the Russians don't use the safety on any longarm much unless its going to be slung or otherwise out of their direct control. Lack of a BHO doesn't matter much considering you have to hit the charging handle to release the bolt on the VZ anyway.

Rock-in mags are awkward, especially when moving, but again its not like the VZ is any better there.

What I meant by the Kim Campbell comment was her government putting AK's on the Prohibited list because they looked scary.

You could still get permits to take your AK to the range up until 09, and IIRC it was the CFO's who decided that they would no longer issue said permits, thus making ALL prohib rifles safe queens.

No, change in law in '03 by the Martin government. Section 18 of the FA was removed, and section 19 amended, including adding a section that specifically prohibited firearms not covered in section 12.6 from being transported to the range.

I love my 858 but I wish it had the after market support of the AK. If both had equal after market gear available it would be hands down CZ.
Having said that the AK is a pretty darn good gun....oopps did I forget about the SKS...

I don't know, I think the VZ58 aftermarket is pretty good considering the size of then market. Where the AK platform really comes out ahead is in having custom and semi-custom shop builds available.

the58 is hands down better then the AK i have personally fired many rounds out of both the 58 is is lighter i found it had less stoppages and it wont burn u lol that ak gets some hot
